The beta tag won't hang on forever. This post spells out what we're committed to deliver between now and v1.0. Anything not listed here is not a v1 goal.
Four hard targets
| Goal | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Engine uptime ≥ 99.9% | In progress | Currently ~99.6%; the gap is LMDB read-lock contention, fix already scheduled |
| EV error across the three variants ≤ 0.2 BB | In progress | NLHE already there, Short Deck 0.35 BB, PLO 0.6 BB — PLO is the toughest nut |
| Public API access | Planned | Elite subscription only; 1,000 calls/month baseline; overage billed by token; ships in v1 |
| Local session cache | Planned | Offline review of the last 30 days of reports; blueprint lookup as a fallback when the network is down |
Not v1 goals
To keep expectations aligned, the following will not ship in v1 — revisit in v1.x:
- Multi-player voice review rooms. High engineering complexity with weak ties to the core value; the community Discord voice channels fill this gap for now.
- Tournament ICM calculator. v1 focuses on cash games (NLHE / Short Deck / PLO).
- Browser-based app. Desktop first on iOS / Android; browser lands in v1.1.
- More languages. v1 ships Chinese / English only. Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish depend on user geography.
On the beta → stable timeline
We don't commit to a date. Software shipped under deadlines always carries bugs, and that's the bigger disrespect to users.
Instead we give progress signals:
- Changelog every two weeks — track it in the Changelog
- The four hard targets get monthly progress updates here in the roadmap, publicly visible
- The community (Telegram / Discord) gets release candidates first for real-world validation
How you can help
During beta what we need is not compliments — it's real gameplay data, especially hands where the review report disagrees with your read. Open the app → Report → "I disagree with this hand", one click, and it goes into our alignment corpus.
Any beta user who contributes alignment data will automatically unlock 3 months of Pro when v1 ships. This isn't marketing; we owe you.
